Pilates & Movement Therapy

Intro

Pilates at Heal 2 Live is delivered in a women-only environment, allowing you to move with comfort, privacy, and complete confidence. Whether you are new to Pilates or rebuilding after injury, every session is tailored to your body and your goals.

What We Focus On

  • Core strength and stability
  • Postural alignment
  • Mobility and flexibility
  • Injury prevention
  • Prenatal and postnatal support

Breath & Nervous System Support

At Heal 2 Live, breath is central to every session — not an afterthought. We incorporate intentional breathing techniques that work alongside movement to:

  • Reduce stress and physical tension
  • Support relaxation
  • Improve body awareness and proprioception
  • Calm and regulate the nervous system

This approach is especially beneficial for women managing anxiety, chronic pain, postnatal recovery, or stress-related tension.

Session Types

Mat Pilates

Floor-based Pilates using your bodyweight and small props to build core strength, improve alignment, and increase flexibility. Suitable for all levels, including beginners and those with physical limitations.

Reformer Pilates

Practised on the Pilates reformer machine, these sessions use spring resistance to challenge and support the body with greater precision. Ideal for rehabilitation, strength building, and deeper postural work.

Stretch & Mobility Sessions

Dedicated sessions focused on improving joint range of motion, releasing tight muscle groups, and restoring ease and fluidity to everyday movement.

Posture Correction

Targeted sessions designed to identify and address postural imbalances — particularly useful for women experiencing back pain, neck tension, or the physical effects of prolonged sitting or screen use.

Who Is This For?

  • Women at any fitness level, including complete beginners
  • Those recovering from injury, surgery, or chronic pain
  • Pregnant women and new mothers (prenatal and postnatal)
  • Women experiencing back, neck, or joint discomfort
  • Anyone seeking a calming, structured movement practice

Move Better. Feel Stronger. Live Well.

At Heal 2 Live, we believe movement is one of the foundations of lifelong health and wellbeing.
Our Pilates & Movement Therapy service is designed to help women improve strength, mobility, posture, balance, and confidence through personalised, evidence-informed movement.
Whether you’re beginning your movement journey, returning after injury or inactivity, preparing for healthy ageing, or simply wanting to move with greater ease, we’ll work alongside you to develop a programme that supports your individual goals, lifestyle, and stage of life.

Our Approach

Every woman is unique, and so is the way she moves.
Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all exercise class, we take the time to understand your health history, movement patterns, lifestyle, daily activities, and personal goals before developing a personalised movement programme that’s right for you.
Our aim is to help you improve the way you move, build confidence, and develop healthy movement habits that support your wellbeing—not only during your sessions but throughout everyday life.
Movement is more than exercise; it’s about creating lasting changes that help you move with greater ease, confidence, and independence.

Who Can Benefit?

Pilates & Movement Therapy may be suitable if you would like to:

  • Improve posture and body awareness
  • Build strength and core stability
  • Increase flexibility and mobility
  • Improve balance and coordination
  • Return to movement after injury or inactivity
  • Improve confidence in everyday movement
  • Prepare for healthy ageing
  • Support your overall health and wellbeing
